This Privacy Policy explains how Champlain Monuments, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our memorial and monument business and the internal software we use to run it.

Information we collect

  • Customer information you provide when requesting a quote, placing an order, or arranging service — such as your name, the family or deceased name for the memorial, mailing address, phone number, email address, cemetery and lot details, and order specifications.
  • Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles card data under its own security standards. We retain records of payment amounts, dates, and reference numbers for accounting.
  • Business financial account information. To keep our own bookkeeping accurate, we connect our company’s own bank and payment accounts through Stripe Financial Connections and retrieve read-only account balances and transaction details for reconciliation. This concerns our business accounts, not our customers’ accounts.
  • Photos and documents related to a job (e.g., proofs, site photos, existing monuments) that you or our crew provide.

How we use information

  • To prepare quotes, fulfill and install orders, and provide service and lettering work.
  • To process payments, issue invoices and receipts, and keep our accounting and bank reconciliation accurate.
  • To communicate with you about your order, payments, and scheduling.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve our internal business software.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, under agreements that limit their use of it, including:

  • Stripe — payment processing and Financial Connections (bank/transaction data for reconciliation).
  • Supabase — secure database and file hosting for our business records.
  • Other providers we use for email, hosting, or document storage.
  • When required by law, or to complete a transaction you have requested (e.g., a cemetery or supplier tied to your order).

Data retention & security

We keep records for as long as needed to fulfill orders, provide service and warranty support, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, though no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we are required to keep. Contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
